Parent to Parent of Georgia offers a variety of services to Georgia families impacted by disabilities or special healthcare needs. They assist with IEP and other supports.
Easterseals Southern Georgia provides assistance to children with disabilities. Their services range from providing diapers, payments for travel to medical appointment, and work and activities that are available in the communities. Easter seals coordinates respite/family support for children, young adults, adults, and veterans.
Babies Can’t Wait is Georgia’s early intervention program that offers a variety of coordinated services for infants and toddlers with special needs, Part C early intervention builds on and provides supports and resources to assist family members and caregivers to enhance children's learning and development through everyday learning opportunities. These services are 0-3 years of age before child enters school system.
The Georgia Department of Education (Division for Special Education Services and Supports) provides support and assistance and mediation (when needed) teachers, and families to meet the whole child needs of each student improving student outcomes asses to FAPE (Free Appropriate Public Education).
Find educational consultants, psychologists, diagnosticians, health care specialists, academic tutors, speech language therapists, advocates, and attorneys. You will also find government programs, grassroots organizations, special education schools, and parent support groups.
